What can we pour from the Little Red Truck?

Whatever your heart desires! We can pour up to four different products from the truck, including beer, wine, sparkling wine (we have a tap for that!), and a variety of non-alcoholic beverages (iced tea, root beer, etc.). Thinking of something else? Let's talk!

Enclosed in the refrigerated truck, multiple smaller format kegs fit nice and snug (sixtels, wine kegs). We also have the option to "remote in" larger formats such as half barrels.

Sixtel keg? Say what? For more information on keg sizes and how much beer you can expect from each, go here!

Wine kegs hold 26 bottles of wine.

OK, let's talk drinks.

We live (and conduct most of our events) in the beautiful commonwealth of Pennsylvania. PA laws prevent us from selling alcohol by the glass. This means that you pay for the alcohol directly, through one of our partners, or through your venue/caterer. There are various options we can discuss for your event.

We coordinate all logistics, including keg delivery and return, so you don’t have to worry about a thing for your party!

What if I have drinks leftover?

If you purchase the kegs, they’re yours! We encourage our customers to bring growlers or other vessels to pour off whatever remains in the kegs. Alternatively, most places are happy to leave the kegs with you in exchange for the keg deposit fee.

What do we need to invest in bringing the Little Red Truck to our event?

Each event is unique and our pricing mirrors that. We love events of all kinds and have enjoyed many weddings, birthday parties, charity events, school and corporate picnics, and block parties! Have a different kind of event in mind? We'd love to be a part of it!

What’s included?

We trailer the Little Red Truck to your event location, set it up, and ensure everything is pouring properly. In addition to the basics, our pricing includes:

  • Travel within 20 miles of 15206. An additional travel fee applies to travel outside of this range.

  • Coordination of keg delivery/return from area distributors

  • All set up and tear down

  • Ice for large format kegs, if necessary. Please note that if you require extra kegs to be available as backup, additional charges for ice apply.

  • Gas to push the product from the kegs through the taps (it's a real tap system, friends!)

  • Glycol to keep the product at the perfect temperature from keg to tap

  • Appropriate sankeys (American or European connectors) and tap faucets to match any product you decide to pour

  • Plastic bar ware

  • Signage, bar table and coverings as appropriate

  • On call assistance to support keg change-out or any possible issues that may arise during your event

What about bartenders?

We are honored to work with the amazing team at Mindful Hospitality Group, Pittsburgh’s best bar consultants. You can learn more about there services here! We also work with the all star team at Ace Bartenders. You can find out more about their services here! Many venues also have groups that they work with closely, and your caterer may also have recommendations - we are happy to work with anyone that best fits your needs.

How does the booking process work?

It’s easy! Here is what you can expect:

  1. Reach out to us via our contact form. You’ll need basic information, such as the date you have in mind and an idea of location for us to provide a quote. We’ll follow up as soon as we can (it will take us a little longer during our summer and fall busy seasons, so thanks in advance for your patience!). We’ll set up a time to talk or collect more information via email, and provide a quote for you to review from there.

  2. Confirm your booking. To hold your date, we’ll need a 50% deposit that is payable via check, Venmo, PayPal or credit card.

  3. Hang tight! We’ll follow up about 45 days prior to your event to confirm timing and discuss what you’re interested in serving on tap.

  4. Make your final payment. Payment is due in full two weeks prior to your event date.

  5. Finalize day-of details. The week of your event, we’ll check in to make sure we’re up to speed on final details and any last minute changes.

  6. Enjoy! Rest assured knowing that you selected the best in the business for your special celebration and enjoy the party with your guests!

Will the Little Red truck fit at my venue?

We love it outside! On occasion, we can fit through service doors for an indoor venue. Our dimensions are:

  • Height: 7 ft, 2 in

  • Length: 12 ft, 6 in

  • Width: 5 ft, 4 in

What else?

To power up the tap system, we need a dedicated power outlet (we don't want to be the ones to knock out power at your event). If a reliable power source is not available, we offer a relatively quiet generator for rent.

We are fully insured and carry general liability insurance. Copies are available upon request.

Tipple Taps rocked my party. How can I leave a review?

That’s what we love to hear! We welcome reviews on Google, Zola, and really anywhere else you think will be helpful to fellow customers like yourself. Thanks for helping us find more clients like you!
